Brace yourself…the shopping frenzy is about to begin. You know that the stores will be jammed packed on Friday with customers hoping to get the best deal on that Mac they have always wanted or to snatch up the last Play Station 3 just in time for the holidays.

The savings are usually pretty good and if you prepare for this day, look at the ads, create a list, then this process will go a bit smoother for you. However, there is a caveat; ‘Buyer Beware’ should be posted in all of the stores, as this will not be a painless process.

You may get cursed at, pushed over, trampled on or worse. Ok…so maybe that’s the extreme. But you definitely will run into plenty of inconvenience’s, like waking up before the sun rises, going out in the cold and fighting over a parking place, standing in endlessly long lines, just to name a few.

The biggest argument that could be made against Black Friday is that there is another option: Cyber Monday. To top this off, new research done by Yahoo has shown that Black Friday may be the new Cyber Monday. On-line sales have actually been higher on Black Friday than what they have been on Cyber Monday and many companies are putting their deals in place to range from days before Black Friday untill Cyber Monday. Per the post on the Yahoo Advertising blog, it was found that compared to an average day in November, Black Friday showed a 147% increase in conversions.

So consider this: stay home, stay warm, stay safe, surf around online and still get great products with major savings. But what do you think? Do you think leaving your house for Black Friday is better than surfing on the web?
